Hey Ya’ll!
Thanks for visiting my site!
Roxy’s is a multi-dimensional site that offers something from all my passions. As a wife, mom, educator, and nutritionist, like many of you, I wear many hats and this site is an attempt to marry the best (and sometimes worst) of those worlds.
A Little About Me
Born and raised in a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada, I couldn’t wait to move to a big city when I graduated. After only a few years into my first degree, I knew I wanted to move back home when I finished school. Upon receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Education, I began working as a teacher in my hometown in 2012. I fell in love with planning fun and engaging lessons and units and frequently had colleagues and friends tell me I needed to “sell that s**t” when I would send them resources I had made. Organization and efficiency are my love languages and it showed in my planning.
3 years later, after falling ill, repeatedly, I became fed up with feeling unheard by doctors. I enrolled in Ashworth College and completed a 2.5 years degree in Nutrition, Diet, and Health Science while still teaching full time. I wanted to learn to heal my body, rather than bandaid it. I had not realized that this education would pour into my daily life and it was after friends and family began asking for assistance that I decided to start Roxy’s Nutrition in 2018. The business is founded on the belief that everyone should have access to basic health, wellness, and nutritional information and guidance from a whole and balanced point of view.
Finally, in April of 2024, I completed by Masters of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership, with a focus on Indigenous and Anti-Oppressive Education and Media Studies. For the last 7 years, I have been operating Sask Thinking Classroom on Teachers Pay Teachers and love hearing the stories and excitement teachers share with my after using something they’ve used from my page.
In May of 2024, just 16 months after having our son, I decided that I wanted to expand Roxy’s Nutrition to not only make information accessible for people in my community but food as well. Roxy’s Ready Meals was born and I began offering healthy and balanced pan and oven-ready freezer meals to those in my community.
I’d like to thank my husband, family, and friends for all their support, and, of course, all of you. None of this would be possible without all of you. I hope you all find something you’re looking for and return with friends to spread the love and health!
Roxy’s Nutrition
Roxy’s Nutrition was born in 2017 when I completed my Degree in Nutrition, Diet and Health Science. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and not feeling heard by specialists. I work with those wanting to learn how to better listen to their bodies, feel better, and help rid their systems of inflammation, excess weight, and toxins.
I offer private nutritional training, monthly challenges, and oven-ready freezer meals. These programs and resources aid others in balancing a busy lifestyle while simultaneously maintaining a healthier dietary intake and intuitive eating lifestyle. Head over to my Roxy’s Nutrition page to find out more.

All About My Thinking Classroom - (SASK TC)
11 years ago, I began my teaching journey and acquired a strong passion for inquiry-based learning. I found students had the ability to gain not only academic knowledge but also life skills through inquiry-based assignments. Students could develop their problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and independence. I began signing up for every Inquiry Professional Development opportunity that I could. Cue Peter Liljedahl and the Thinking Classroom.
The PD was life-changing. I was filled with new energy for teaching! The very next day I briefed my class on what I had learned and that we were going to try this together and just JUMP IN! A 60-minute class was completed in 37 minutes, we were all shocked and the kids were motivated to keep going so I moved into the next day’s lesson and completed that one too; all in the 60-minute class period.
Now I share my lessons, experiments, and units on Instagram and this platform to allow everyone access to the life-altering teaching structure that is Thinking Classroom.
