Forces of Flight- Worksheets Grade 6 Science

Hooking your students on a topic is one of the most exciting and important concepts in teaching. Designing that initial lesson is always one of my favourite things to do when I’m unit planning.

Flight is one of the units that I can never wait to teach! I love seeing the joy in my students’ eyes when I tell them they can make and fly paper airplanes in the classroom and the halls! Who wouldn’t love that?

These worksheets for grade 6 science are the first 2 lessons for an introduction to flight! Lesson one begins with a hands-on paper airplane activity that will hook students and have them invested in the concept from the beginning. The lessons are inquiry-based and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. The handouts are ready-to-go, they end with great reflection practices, and it also includes detailed teacher notes already done for you.

The packet includes:

- 2 full lesson plans

- printable handouts that are ready-to-go
