The Seven Grandfather Teachings

A complete unit to teach the Seven Sacred Teachings of Canada's Indigenous People (First Nations, Aboriginal people). Some teachings may vary as oral legends are dependant on where one's tribe originated. Also, the teachings are heard and understood differently for each individual so this can cause variance as well. This unit includes 130 pages of step-by-step lesson plans, legends, graphic organizers, engaging activities, group activities, reflective journaling, online tools and resources, and summative writing lessons/process.

The unit is designed to foster inquiry, engagement, and critical thinking.
