Goal-setting Worksheets - Vision Board Project

This is by far my favourite New Year’s activity to do with my students. Vision boards have become “all the rage” in the last year or two and I couldn’t be more excited to see my students get pumped for creating their own.

This 3-lesson project includes group and self-reflection, planning, and goal-setting for the future. Teaching students how to reflect and process moments, as well as, emotions, is an important and valuable step in life-skill development. Learning from those moments and creating new goals based on them is a skill that most people don’t learn until adulthood, or at all. Being able to learn from your past and move forward with a positive outlook is more than most people can do. It’s a critical part of self-care that is only becoming popular today. This project teaches the beginnings of those skills.

Keep in mind that although this project pack only contains 3 lessons, it does, in fact, require 2-3 more for students to complete the vision board. You could further develop this project by having students complete a 1-page write-up to accompany the vision board, they could also do a presentation or peer-edit/review.
